As in buying a house, it's location, location, location. With portraits, it's paper, paper, paper.

 

I use only a professional print service and only professional grade paper for all my images, personal and professional.

 

At most of your retail stores offering printing, you have two choices. Glossy or Matte. Glossy paper is fine for black and white images but tends to oversaturate with color. If you have ever picked up a glossy photo you quickly realize that you are now a permanent part of that image. Why? Your fingerprints are now on the image. Matte paper gives you fingerprint resistance however it does not give you the color the image deserves.

 

The answer: Professional Grade Lustre Paper

It gives you the brillant colors and is fingerprint resistant on a heavier paper.
